The idea of the internet is that it becomes a inter-linked communications sytem, like a spider's web.

It will help your site tremendously if you participate in this philosophy.

The first thing that we do with a new client site, is post 50 or 100 outgoing links to sites of interest, depending on the theme.

We automatically include Google directory, Yahoo directory, the ODP or DMOZ, and any university or government sites that might be of interest to a visitor.

We have even declined to accept a new client, simply because he stated that he did not want any outgoing links, as he "might lose visitors".
